Let me take my chances on the Wall of Death

I'm a bit behind with my podcasts and I was catching up this afternoon in the gym when I heard an excellent edition of Coverville devoted to Richard Thompson. It opens with Thompson covering Prince's "Kiss" which is very Richard Thompson and very Prince. The second track is "Turning of the Tide" which is by Bob Mould - trying to sound like Richard Thompson vocally by with a very up-tempo backing. And then a bizarre cover which opens with the riff from "Pretty in Pink" but then reveals itself to be "Wall of Death" - a great song which can't be ruined even by The Wrockers. and then.... Well, you'll have to listen for yourself.
