Johnny Chung Lee and the Wiimote

Shapes of things to come? Very interesting demonstration by Johnny Chung Lee of how a Wiimote can be used for head tracking, and how with head tracking, faux-3D can be produced on a 2D screen.

This appeals to me not just as a clever hack, but also as an illustration of of the human brain picking up 3D cues other than through binocular vision. Johnny's website is well worth a look it has some great stuff on it.

Thanks to Don MacAskill's SmugBlog for the lead.
