The Tartan Podcast

Mark Hunter's "Tartan Podcast" wasn't the first independent music podcast I started to listen to but was the first one I kept listening to and is still my favourite. The podcast has exposed me to
some great bands and their music - my favourites being Amplifico.

The impact of music podcasting strikes me as very interesting. It offers "early-stage," "start-up" bands the chance to get a exposure - and world-wide exposure at that. From the comments that Mark recieves, and the comments on bands' websites, it is clear that podcasting exposure creates interest, fans and sales. And I thought that was what record companies did.
