Punishing an Aga

I have to admit that I am a bit of an eco-terrorist in that we have an Aga. It is a crazy cooker - "always on" - which means it uses an obscene amount of gas and gives out so much heat that it is unusable in the summer. Anyhow, in an attempt to teach it more eco-friendly habits, we've taken the opportunity of a kitchen refit to apply techniques of persuasion previously practiced by the likes of Christian Szell and Joseph Menele. The pictures shows a tightly bound aga with torturer's tools (drill and rod) laid out ready for use. I will report on the effectiveness of these techniques when the aga is recommisioned. If it proves successful I intend to try to curb the excesses of jet aeroplanes next.
